Terry has been a college astronomy instructor for UC Clermont and Cincinnati State for over 25 years.

He has been involved in supervising national science competitions - Science Bowl and Science Olympiad- for over 20 years. He has been a CAS member and presenter for 17 years. Terry is a former CAS President having served seven years and led the effort to stabilize the Society during financial crisis.

Cincinnati Observatory Center member and presenter for 16 years.

Terry also served two years as CAS secretary.

He was awarded the Right Stuff medal for participation in NASA'a adult space camp and with team members, awarded Best Mission patch for same.
