Transportation at ALCON 2026

We are providing information on transportation for ALCON guests to get around Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky during conference week.

Scroll toward the bottom of the page for airport transportation information.

Northern Kentucky Transport:

Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky, also known as TANK, is your key to getting around Covington, Newport and across the river into Cincinnati. Guests will take advantage of TANK’s Southbank Shuttle to access areas in Northern Kentucky and to get across the river where they can switch to the Cincinnati Connector for access to areas downtown.

Cost:
With the “TANK” icon on the back of your ALCON badge, the Southbank Shuttle is free (other bus routes are not free).

TANK Routes, Hours and Stops:
View the official map with all TANK routes including the Southbank Shuttle HERE.
The Southbank Shuttle has stops every couple blocks. Look for the TANK signs along the route.

Hours of operation:
Monday thru Friday: 6:00AM - 11:00PM
Weekend: 10:00AM - 11:00PM

Cincinnati Transport:

On the Cincinnati side, use the Cincinnati Bell Connector, also known as the streetcar. The Connector runs through areas of downtown Cincinnati, connecting areas such s The banks along the Ohio River, Fountain Square in the center of downtown as well as Cincinnati’ historic Over The Rhine area which includes stops at popular places like Findlay Market and Rhinegeist Brewery.

Cost:
The Connector is free and doesn’t require any use of your badge to board.

Connector Routes, Hours and Stops:
View the official map HERE

There are 18 stations along the route. Most feature covered shelters and steel benches. All stations have a real-time next streetcar arrival screen.

Hours of operation:
Monday thru Friday: 7:30AM - 11:30PM
Saturday: 8:30AM - 11:30PM
Sunday: 9:30AM - 9:30PM

The routes for TANK and The Cincinnati Connector overlap in the area of The Banks on the Cincinnati side near the Ohio River. TANK also goes into Newport, which is East of Covington on the Kentucky side.

Due to the 4th Street bridge construction, the direct route from Covington to Newport is closed. To get to Newport, TANK runs through Cincinnati to cross into Newport, and back through Cinci again to get to Covington. There are some attractions in Newport our guests may be interested in, but don’t be alarmed when the shuttle takes you into Cincinnati first due to this bridge closure.

The Southbank Shuttle is free using your ALCON badge and takes you on the Covington / Cincinnati / Newport loop. If you need to use the Northern Kentucky bus system for any reason to get to a custom destination, we recommend you download the TRANSIT app from the app store, as the bus fares are not free.
