The Banks & Smale Park

Cincinnati’s Riverfront Entertainment district

A perfect destination for those who wish to walk the famous Roebling suspension bridge.

From the websites:

The Banks: Spanning the full width of the Central Business District, The Banks brings the waterfront to downtown’s front door. It is part and parcel of a Riverfront strategic development plan that was originally unveiled in the 1990’s.

With the goal of creating a gathering place for people across the region, The Banks provides a variety of attractions that promote public enjoyment, engagement and appreciation.

John G. and Phyllis W. Smale Riverfront Park connects downtown Cincinnati to the Ohio River and the existing riverfront parks. A wonderful location to view the bustling activity along The Ohio River Trail, and a place to gather and celebrate as a community.

The park boasts multiple water play features, giant swings, an interactive foot piano, an imaginative play area for kids, expansive pollinator gardens, and Carol Ann’s Carousel.
